The small print, kept small

Terms of use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms apply to the Storyfold: Puzzle Tales app and this website. By playing, you agree to use them for personal enjoyment and in line with applicable law.

The app

Puzzle Tales is free to download from the App Store. Unless its App Store listing provides a custom agreement, the app is licensed to you under Apple’s standard end-user license agreement.

Buying tales

Additional tales and packs are one-time, non-consumable purchases made through the App Store. There are no subscriptions. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment, refunds and Family Sharing are handled by Apple under its terms; to request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

A purchase gives you a personal licence to play that tale in the app on devices signed in to your Apple Account. You can delete a downloaded tale to save space and download it again later at no charge. Use Restore purchases in Settings on a new device.

Your progress

Progress is saved on your device and, when you’re signed in, partly in your iCloud. iCloud is provided by Apple and its availability isn’t guaranteed by us. Deleting the app or its data can erase progress that hasn’t reached iCloud.

Artwork and stories

The fairy tales themselves are classics in the public domain. The illustrations, retellings, music, keepsake art and design of Puzzle Tales are ours. You’re welcome to share screenshots and the storybook pages you restore for personal, non-commercial use.

Fair use of the game

Please don’t try to disrupt the app, its download service or this website, or to extract and redistribute its artwork.

Changes and availability

We may update the game, add or retire features, and update these terms. Tales you’ve bought remain yours to play. If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.

No warranty

The game is provided as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we don’t guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
